Snow White and the Seven Chakras

“Once upon a time, in the middle of winter, when flakes of snow were falling like feathers from the sky, a Queen sat by the window sewing. Whilst she was looking out the window she pricked her finger with the needle, and three drops of blood fell upon the snow. The red looked pretty upon the white snow, and she thought to herself, “Oh that I had a child as white as snow, as red as blood and as black as the wood of this window frame.” Soon after that her daughter was born, her skin was as white as snow, her lips as red as blood and her hair was black as ebony and she was named little Snow-White.

A few years later the queen died, and the king married a new wife who was beautiful but also vain:
”Mirror, mirror on the wall who is the fairest person of them all?”
”Though art fairer than all who are here, but more beautiful is Snow White”…

In a jealous rage the wicked queen ordered her Huntsman to kill Snow White but he had a kindly heart and let her run away into the forest. Lost and alone in the dark forest Snow White saw a light and found her way to a little cottage belonging to seven dwarfs.

Not many people realise that the fairy tales read to us to put us to sleep were actually meant to awaken us to deeper inner truths. Symbolically we are the child alone in the dark forest. Snow White, as pure and innocent as the falling snow, represents the purity of our soul. The wicked queen is consumed by vanity and the illusions of the material world. From my last talk you may remember the subtle bodies, the illusion of believing we are the bodies, the clothes, that the soul wears. The wicked queen is associating herself with her physical body, her looks; with her emotional body, she is insanely jealousy and with her mental body, she thinks she can kill the light within Snow White that outshines her own darkness.

Snow White has discovered the seven dwarfs who represent the seven chakras. In pranic healing we work with the twelve major chakras but for simplicity we will discuss the seven most commonly known chakral dwarfs.

Sleepy… has a depleted basic chakra so he is tired and lethargic. He looks pretty happy here but he may have a tendency towards depression and procrastination. The basic chakras energises the whole of the physical body, particularly the muscular and skeletal systems and the blood so Sleepy may not be digging his fair share of gold out in those mountains.

Dopey’s sex chakra is a little small and perhaps not functioning as well as it might. The sex chakra energises the sexual organs as well as the legs, throat and head. You can see he is a bit wobbly in the legs and not enough energy from the sex chakra is being transmuted upwards to energise his brain, hence he is mute and a bit glaikit as we say in Scotland, or not quite the full shilling.

Grumpy… well his solar plexus is over activated, congested and perhaps even pulsating erratically. The solar plexus is the centre for both positive and negative emotions so if his grumpiness develops into worry or anger over a long period of time it will affect his diaphragm, create shallow breathing and may affect any of the vital organs in close proximity.

Thankfully Happy is very close to Grumpy and his big heart chakra helps him to be compassionate and understanding. Happy’s love for his dwarf family manifests as loving-kindness and generosity with his share of the gold and he has a healthy and happy thymus gland, immune system and circulatory system.

Not so long ago Bashful joined Toastmasters, as you can see by his hat. He’s been doing his voice exercises, he’s done his IceBreaker and he is starting to express himself with more ease and confidence and with the opening of his throat chakra he has noticed his asthma is improving.

Sneezy’s ajna chakra has troubled him since childhood so he has long been susceptible to ear and nose infections. But as he has grown up he has learnt to use his quick intelligence to find visionary solutions to the task of managing all the other dwarfs in their day to day business.

Doc has a highly activated crown chakra and he is filled with wisdom and compassion for all beings of the world. His PhD on ‘Mining for Inner Gold', has been translated, by Sneezy, into 20 different languages and has helped countless dwarfs around the world find illumination and oneness.

Having met the seven dwarfs Snow White agrees to stay and cook and clean for them. Symbolically she is purifying herself against the lower temptations of the Wicked Queen who has discovered she is still alive. Eventually though, she succumbs to a poisoned apple and falls into death’s deep slumber.

Snow White now lies in the glass coffin of immortality. She will awaken with the kiss of the Prince, her higher soul, and in time her incarnate soul and her higher soul will merge and unite in the sacred marriage of divine consciousness.
